News: Woman killed following single-vehicle collision in Hanover County

HANOVER COUNTY, VA – Officials with the Hanover Police Department are reporting one fatality following a single-vehicle collision Wednesday afternoon.

According to WWBT, the crash occurred within the 71600 block of Taylor Creek Road at about 3:12 p.m. Investigators believe the driver lost control of her Chevrolet pickup truck, exited the roadway, and collided head-on with a tree.

Officials pronounced the unidentified 50-year-old woman deceased at the scene of the crash.

Details regarding what may have caused her to lose control of the truck are still under investigation.
