The driver crashed his pickup into a tree on Elkhardt Road just before 6:30 p.m. He was not hurt but was “highly intoxicated,” according to Sgt. Rollins of the Chesterfield Police Department.
Rollins said a roadside test showed the driver’s blood alcohol level was .22, nearly three times the legal limit of .08. The man, whose name was not released, was arrested and taken to a Chesterfield jail.
