News: Pedestrian struck by Chesterfield County police vehicle

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – A pedestrian was struck and injured by a Chesterfield County police vehicle over the weekend, WRIC reports.

The accident happened in the 2400 block of West Hundred Road at about 11 p.m. Saturday night.  Authorities said a police officer was driving east on the way to help another officer when they hit the pedestrian.

The victim, whose name was not released, was transported to a local hospital with injuries not deemed to be life-threatening.
