News: Pedestrian killed after being hit my multiple vehicles in Virginia Beach

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – A male pedestrian was killed after being struck by three vehicles in an accident in Atlantic Park Saturday night.

According to WAVY, the accident occurred shortly before 7:00 p.m. within the 1600 block of Virginia Beach Boulevard.

Investigators on the scene believe the pedestrian was struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross Virginia Beach Boulevard. The initial collision knocked the victim into the eastbound lanes, where he was struck by two additional vehicles.

Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene. The driver of the first vehicle fled following the crash. The other two drivers stopped to render assistance and are coopering with the police.

No charges have been filed as of Monday morning.
