News: Multiple injuries reported in Portsmouth HRT bus accident

PORTSMOUTH, VA – Four individuals were hospitalized after sustaining injuries in an HRT bus accident in Portsmouth Monday evening.

According to WAVY, the accident occurred shortly after 6:30 p.m. within the intersection of Court Street and Bart Street, the same intersection where an HRT bus incident injured 21 people last year.

Police say three passengers on the bus, along with one occupant in a separate white vehicle, were taken to a local hospital following the crash. Their injuries are not expected to be life-threatening.

Details regarding what may have caused the crash have not yet been released.
