News: Driver killed when car crashes into tree in Norfolk

NORFOLK, VA – Police say a 33-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Norfolk over the weekend after he lost control of his vehicle, WTKR reports.

The victim, identified as Clayton Fisher, was driving a Chevrolet Silverado in the 5700 block of Chesapeake Boulevard when the accident occurred at about 12:30 a.m. Saturday.

Investigators determined that Fisher’s vehicle slammed into a tree and overturned. He died at the scene.

It is believed that speeding and alcohol contributed to the fatal wreck, police said.
