News: Driver dies after van crashes in Chesterfield County

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – Investigators are looking into a fatal single-vehicle accident that took place in Chesterfield County on Tuesday afternoon.

According to WWBT, a man leaving a home in a Dodge work van was involved in a crash in the 2700 block of Old Gunn Road at about 4 p.m.

Police say the van struck a mailbox and then went across a road and into a ditch.  The van continued up an embankment before hitting another vehicle.  The driver was pronounced dead at an area hospital. He was identified as 37-year-old Jeremy C. Dunn.

Investigators believe he was suffering a medical emergency when the crash occurred.
