News: Woman, infant both killed in Henrico County crash

PETERSBURG, VA – A woman and small child were killed following a multi-vehicle collision in Henrico County Monday evening.

According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch, 31-year-old Erica K. Dixon lost control of her vehicle near the 25 mile marker of I-295, drifted into oncoming traffic, and struck another car.

Authorities with The Virginia State Police say Dixon died at the scene of the crash. The passenger, an infant child was rushed to VCU Medical Center where he died shortly after.

Details regarding the identity of the infant or the condition of the others involved in the crash have yet to be released.
