HENRICO COUNTY, VA – A crash involving a tractor-trailer slowed down traffic in Henrico County early Wednesday morning, according to WRIC.
The incident happened on I-95 N at about 3:19 a.m. The Virginia State Police said the truck struck a guardrail on the left lane of the highway after the driver reached for something and lost control of the vehicle.
The tractor-trailer, which was carrying beer, went off the left side of the road. The driver and a passenger sustained minor injuries and were taken to an area hospital.
The center and left lanes were closed while the scene was being cleaned up, causing traffic backups.
Authorities said the driver was charged with failure to maintain proper control of the vehicle.
