RICHMOND, VA – Officials with the Virginia Highway Patrol were forced to close multiple lanes on I-95 following a crash Friday afternoon.
According to the official 511 Virginia Twitter page, the collision occurred shortly after 1 p.m. within the northbound lanes of I-95, about a half-mile north of VA 161.

No injuries have been reported as a result of the crash. However, this situation is still developing.
Officials are advising motorists to avoid the area as traffic is expected to be backed up for a few hours while the crash is investigated and cleared from the roadway.
