ACCOMACK COUNTY, VA – The driver of a pickup truck was killed and a passenger was injured in a rollover crash in Accomack County early Friday morning.
According to WAVY, the man was driving a Ford F-350 truck on Chincoteague Road near Mosquito Creek Bridge at about 1 a.m. when the vehicle ran off the road. It struck a guardrail and flipped into a marsh.
Virginia State Police say the driver, 32-year-old Justin Myers of Pennsylvania, was ejected and died at the scene. A passenger in the truck, 25-year-old Marshall Shaffer, suffered injuries that were not life-threatening.
Shaffer and Myers were both intoxicated at the time of the accident, investigators said.
