News: Motorcyclist dies after hitting guardrail on I-64 in Newport News

NEWPORT NEWS, VA – A man was killed when his motorcycle crashed on Interstate 64 Sunday night, WAVY reports.

Virginia State Police identified the victim as 30-year-old Brian Adam Moore of Newport News. According to investigators, he lost control of his motorcycle in the westbound lanes of I-64 east of the Atkinson overpass just before 11:20 p.m.

Moore, of Newport News, struck a guardrail at mile marker 252 and was fatally injured. Police do not believe alcohol or speed were contributing factors in the crash.
