News: Motorcycle rider critically injured in Norfolk accident

NORFOLK, VA – Police are investigating a motorcycle crash in Norfolk that left a man critically injured, according to WAVY.

The incident happened in the 7000 block of Azalea Garden Road Friday morning at about 1:30 a.m. According to Norfolk Police, the 24-year-old victim struck a curb and lost control of the motorcycle. He sustained what were described as life-threatening injuries.

Initial indications are that speeding contributing to the accident but that alcohol use did not appear to have been a factor, police said.
