News: Delivery truck collides with light-rail train in Norfolk

NORFOLK, VA – A Coca-Cola delivery truck collided with a light-rail train carrying four people in downtown Norfolk Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Virginia Pilot, the truck crashed into the side of the train within the intersection of East Charlotte Street and Granby Street at about 3:15 p.m.

One individual on the train complained of a minor back injury following the accident. However, no one was transported to the hospital as a result.

Officials were able to remove the wreckage from the site within a couple of hours, restoring train service by that evening.
