News: Collision causes delays on I-85

DINWIDDIE COUNTY, VA – Officials in Dinwiddie County were forced to shut down at least one lane on I-85 following a tractor-trailer crash Sunday morning.

According to Virginia 511, the incident occurred within the northbound lanes of I-85 near mile marker 49 at about 11:30 a.m.

No injuries have been reported as a result of the collision. However, this situation is still developing.

Authorities are advising motorists to avoid the area as the incident caused traffic on I-85 to back up about 2 miles.
