SUFFOLK, VA – An accident at the Monitor Merrimac Memorial Bridge-Tunnel Wednesday afternoon slowed traffic and left two people injured, WAVY reports.

Police responded to the scene on Interstate 664 in Suffolk at about 3:30 p.m. Authorities said the two injuries were not regarded as life-threatening.
All northbound lanes on I-664 were closed near the crash scene, and traffic was reported to be backed up for about two miles. The lanes later reopened, the Virginia Department of Transportation said.
