3 injured when truck slams into Virginia Beach home

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – Police are investigating after a truck slammed into a home in Virginia Beach Wednesday afternoon, leaving three people injured.

According to WAVY, emergency crews responded to the 400 block of Sedgewick Court shortly after 3 p.m.  They found that a truck had partially crashed into a home and ignited a small fire, which was quickly brought under control.

Three people were hospitalized, including a child. No details were released on the extent of their injuries. The crash damaged the home as well as several nearby vehicles.

One neighbor, Patrick Tucker, told a reporter that he tried reaching the truck driver, who was initially unresponsive. Tucker said the driver regained consciousness and was able to walk to a gurney.
