News: 27-year-old Portsmouth man dies following hit-and-run

PORTSMOUTH, VA – The victim of a hit-and-run crash in Portsmouth last week passed away on Saturday, 13 News Now reports.

This is an update to a previous story.

The man was identified by family members as 27-year-old Anthony Etheridge. The accident happened last Monday at the intersection of George Washington Highway and Davis Street, where family and friends gathered Sunday evening for a vigil.

They are seeking any information that might lead to the arrest of the driver who struck Etheridge and then left the scene.

Anyone with photos or video of the area from around the time of the incident—from midnight to 3 a.m. of October 12th—is asked to submit them to the Portsmouth Police Department.
