News: 2 vehicles collide on Midlothian Turnpike, 1 hits building

RICHMOND, VA – Virginia state police were on the scene of a crash in Richmond Thursday morning that caused one of the vehicles involved to hit a building. According to WWBT, the collision happened on Midlothian Turnpike at the intersection with Roanoke Street at about 9:30 a.m.

Investigators said a state Department of Health vehicle hit a Chevrolet Impala that was headed north on Roanoke Street.  The state vehicle then continued on and hit a building on Midlothian Turnpike. The Impala crashed into a pole at the intersection.

No injuries were reported in the accident, police said. Both of the drivers involved were wearing their seat belts at the time.
