Alcohol & Speed Believed to be a Factor in Fatal Virginia Beach Motorcycle Crash

The police in Virginia Beach were called to the scene of a crash on Oceana Boulevard in the early hours of Saturday morning. On June 27, at about 2 am, the cops arrived at the scene of what was clearly a deadly crash on Oceana. The accident involved a motorcycle and two other vehicles. Sadly, the man driving the motorcycle did not survive his injuries.

An unidentified man was driving his 2002 Harley Davidson in the 1300 block of Oceana Boulevard. It was about 2 am when he lost control of his bike. The driver was ejected from his motorcycle. However, the bike continued on to crash into two other vehicles.

The other two cars involved were a 2002 Hyundai Accent and a 1991 Ford Bronco. These cars were in the Southeast lanes of the highway. The motorcycle had been traveling in the Northwest lanes of Oceana.

By the time the cops arrived on the scene, the driver of the motorcycle had already passed away from his injuries. His name has not yet been released. They were waiting to notify his next of kin. Thankfully, the other two drivers were not injured in the crash. There were no passengers on the bike or in the other two cars at the time of the accident.

The authorities said they do believe speed and alcohol may have played a role in the crash. They are waiting for the results of the investigation. This investigation is being conducted by the Virginia Fatal Accident Crash Team unit. Depending on what they uncover, there may be a legal claim filed by any of the people involved.
